Story Style

This story is taken place in the view of first person and sometimes in the third person during narrated moments. The mood of this story changes through the course of this book in the beginning Ned was sad because he didn't want to go he was also scared because the whites would beat them or give them a cruel punishment for doing wrong. In the middle of the book Ned was feeling sort of happy excited and nervous because he wanted to go to war, but he was nervous/scared of what he was to see.  The tone of this story also changes in the beginning we were sad for Navajos because they were treated badly, and in the middle we were sad, and angry because, we were sad and angry because of what the Japaneses citizens were told about the U.S people (we would torture them). The Dialect of this story is the Navajo words, or how Georgia boy speaks (hillbilly). The Dialogue of the story mostly kicks in during the war like when charlie "died," the talk between Ned and his friend makes out a good picture of a man laying on a log with is shoulder slashed wide open with is mouth tied closed.
