my first thoughts for some of the chapters was that he was gonna get absolutely destroyed by the teachers at the boarding school. i still don't know how he was not able to be noticed still practicing his Navajo language even into high school. but when i got to "High School" chapter i thought he would have been as broken as a T-24 from Operation Barbarossa. then i was surprised when the high school wasn't as rough as the boarding school, but i thought he was making a risky move while speaking Navajo when none of the teachers could hear, or at least, when he thought they couldn't hear.
